Cheryl will be flying to Scotland on 21 September. It's a Monday. Wondering if anyone wants to send her off? Then 19 or 20 Sep we'll have a class outing too for the guys who probably can't make it. Can contact me for more info.

Hope you guys like the gifts and the card - I figured it'll be cheaper and more meaningful if a handmade card was made. In the end, it took me one and half hours to make it, think of the design, and clear up my extremely messy desk that is equivalent of a pigsty. (because it still is, hence the present tense...)

Anyway, we've gotten back our results except Geography. It's been depressing so far *bangs head against wall*, but hopefully it serves as a reminder for all of us to work hard for Prelims and A Levels...

We've got to show the teachers our stuff you know. Who's giving up? Not me.

Less than two months left until we leave for study break. Well, I feel that it has been fun knowing you guys, even if it's only for 1 year plus. I guess we should treasure each moment now.

We will be having a class outing after so long.
Here are the various options.

1) Cycling at East Coast
- the feedback from the past cycling trip was rather well-received.
- can also sit by the beach, play volleyball, chit-chat, watch the tides..

2) A decent movie outing + eating + pool(may or may not)
- we have not had much success through a movie outing.
- pool after that
- eating at seoul garden or something simple.

Well, people, i have just came back from LTC aka leadership training camp. (Weilin, and Ching Ying too, probably)..

Firstly, i must say i am impressed with everyone who took part to improve this blog. if you are reading this, give urself a pat on ur shoulders - GOOD JOB =) I hope that from now onwards, more and more people will learn to appreciate this blog. actually, not just this blog, but basically, things that various people, (eg. subject reps, CG aka me, vice- chair and anyone). i am really very glad to see more posts up here. YES<>

: I feel that we shouldn't study individually, but study as study groups. Study Groups are useful to some people, hence, i don't mean resticting everyone to study together. By forming study groups, we can help each other out, and revise at the same time. hence, i really hope that we should try to form small study groups
: Some of us do not seem to be interested in studying (sry if i may offend anyone) and i can see it from the sleeping during lectures, tutorials(P.S: not everyone sleeping is not interested in studying) and i also hope to see some changes to this situation, and it also includes playing the GC during lectures..
: i also want to point out a fact. Being confident is no crime, but being overconfident is not a positive sight. one should not be too full of himself, afterall, no man is perfect. when criticising others, think again, CAN YOU DO WHAT OTHERS DID? if not, please (sry..) SHUT THE TRAP UP, if yes, help out and everyone will improve together.

LASTLY, i HAVE TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT. ON 5TH OCTOBER 2007, THERE IS OPEN HOUSE (E MERIDIAN HEARTBEAT). AS USUAL, ALL CGs ARE INVOLVED IN SETTING UP CG BOOTHS.

WE ARE NO EXCEPTION. ONE BOOTH WILL BE SET UP BY 2CGs AND REGARDING OUR PARTNERING CG, I WILL FIND OUT SOON. THE BOTTOM LINE IS, I NEED YOUR RESPONSE (NOT SO FAST, TELL ME WHEN SCHOOL REOPENS) ABOUT WHETHER IF YOU HAVE DUTY AS STUDENT COUNCILOR; CCA @ CCA BOOTHS; HOUSE EXCO; PERFORMING GRPS; AND REACH REPS.

OK!! HERE'S UR LONG AWAITED FEATURE ABOUT THE LEARNING JOURNEY ON THE 28TH MAY AFTER THT RELATIVELY AVERAGE (lol) GP EXAM~! BROUGHT TO YOU BY UR DEAREST, BELOVED, CUTE, CHARMING, HANDSOME, COOL XINWEI ^^

ok! so the day started out with our GP exam..when i recieve paper 1..i was like WTFFFF..WHY DID THYE MAKE IT SO EASY WHEN I STUDY ALL THE DIFFICULT STUFF!! then nvm! i chose the impacts of the media one anywya..jus hope i can get a C!! next was paper 2...after reading the passage i was like =___+ WTF? EXTERNALITIES? INTERNALITIES? MARKET FAILURE? ZERO-SUM ACTIVITY? ISN'T THT WAT'S BEING STUDIED IN ECONOMICS? IS THT SETTER BIAS AGAINST ECONS STUDENTS OR WAT! but anyway..it was quite a pushover = D~~

so finally GP ended..and the start of the learning journey begin (oh before tht! I SAW HER!!!!) k back to topic..all gathered at the hall, our VP was invited to flag off the learning journey (without a flag =__+)...then..WE ARE FREE TO LEAVE..!!

This a very interesting phenomenon, just as the signal was given that classes may start moving..07S210 IMMEDIATELY SPRANG UP FROM THE FLOOR...AND START DASHING OUT OF THE SCH GATE!!!!

Record-breaking 1: Fastest class to get out of the sch gate for learning journey and made it first to burger king for lunch

Ok..so a nice lunch at burger king follow by a joyous celebration of cheryl's birthday. I coudl see the look of suprise on cheryl's face as she was like: :(thoughts in her brain) O_O, whose cake was that? OMG ITS MINE!!! THEY ACTUALLY GOT A CAKE FOR ME!!!!! I LOVE THEM ALL ARHHHHHH I AM SOOOOOO TOUCHED!!!)

Trivia about our beloved CT 1: She can really eat very fasttt!!!!! *grinz*

Ok next..got on the MRT to set off for clarke quay to Tyler Print Institude...had a nice talk with jeffrey and mrs tng on the way..

Record-breaking 2: We (or rather i) managed to achieve an impossible feat..sth that no man has ever achieved..sth tht is soooooooo groundbreaking tht it could be easily used for our PW project task 1 and get EE for it..sth equilivant to taming the wildest beast in the world...

Trivia about our beloved CT 2: She's sooooo kind!!!!!! First, she offered her seat to a couple carrying a baby. Second, she sees a mum carrying a baby in the crowd and was soo concern!! Most caring teacher award 2007 to u Mrs Tng!!

Ok, before long..we reached Clarke Quay!!! And we climbed up this flight of torturous staircase!!!! so high!!!! (note to class: there's an escalator next to it btw)

Trivia about our beloved CT 3: She's such a fast athelete!!! I had a hard time catching up with her running up the stairs!!!!! (until the last flight when i jump to the closest steps to the rail and push myself up = X)

Next, we took 5 taxis ( 4 in each) to the Tyler Print Institute thinking we would be early..in the end we spend a good 10 mins trying to track back lost taxis. And the amazing thing is..none of the taxi drivers know where the print institute was..LOL!!!.. .

Ok! So we step into the air conditioner print institute..(ahhhh..a relief from tht &(^(*_))(&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;(&%*& Singapore heat.)..my first reaction was OMGGGGG!! A WINERY!!! lols
K, we were led by this lady with a cool name called Miss Cool (if anyone had eyes sharp and observable enough to notice her nametag) around the print institute..we were introduced to serveral types of print..and taken on a tour of equiments used to make the prints..then we were introduced to picasso (right spelling? i tired, no time to check) and see some of his "pervertic" paintings..COMON GUYS!!! THOSE WHO THINK IT IS PERVETIC..IT'S NOT!!! IT'S ARTTTTT..LEARN TO APPRECIATE!!!

Trivia about our beloved CT 4: She has such a great passion for learning! She has admitted that she can't appreciate art..but she listen with such great interest and learnnnnn....LET'S DO THT 07S210 PEEPS!!! LEARN FROM OUR BELOVED CT OK? EVERY LECTURE LET'S BE SUPER ATTENTIVE AND HYPED UP!

OK, so we reached the Shaw Theatre where we pushed, jostled and squeezed and struggled against the meridian crowds to get our seats (we got gd seats!!) (oh..I SAW HER!!! THEN SHE SAT NEXT TO MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!! call this luck huh?)

Then the movie started..OMG IT WAS SO NICE!!! I WAITED A YEAR FOR THIS MOVIE LIAO... 4/5 STARS!!! however.the script-writer could have done a better job..why build up sao feng character and then suddenly kill him off like tht..the tia dalma/calypso shudn't have turned into a giant monster as everyone knew 14 FOOT MONSTERS DUN WORK IN MOVIES!!! HOW MANY TIMES MUST THE FILM-MAKERS BE REMINDED OF THT!
Jack norrington too! Why build up his character over the movies and have him killed by tht Bootstraps whom i always found disturbing.
Oh jus a trivia..Johnney Depp has expressed his interest for more pirates of the carribean movies in future..so possible sequel: Pirates of the Carribean 4: The Fountain of Youth
However..kiera knightly has requested not to continue in any more pirates film..syaing she had enough playing this rebellious girl..(SAD HUH? SHE'S SO BLOODY HOT!!)

BTW: something i jus dun understand...how come everyone must clap and cheer when ever there is a heroic act..romantic scences =__+! totally spoil the movie!!!! especially tht "welcome to singapore" i jus can't understand the reaction from the crowd =__=

OH THT SCENCE WHERE WILL MARRY ELIZABETH WAS GREAT!!!! I SWEAR TO MYSELF I WOULD GET MARRY IN THE FUTURE WITH SUCH UNIQUENESS!!!

BUT ANYWAY! the starting was unique!!! an unique way to start a movie..in an unfamiliar setting with a spine chilling scence!

MSG TO CLASS: go read wikipedia about the nine pirate lords..they are such interesting characters!!! (do u know mistress ching was blind?) and in case everyone dunno..tht guy was teague sparrow,..jack's father.

OK! SO END OF MOVIE..we went off to suntec food republic for dinner! The concept of the food court was rather unique..a library theme foodcourt from Old Britain..i read that the creative team actually went to Britain itself to draw inspirations and for research.
Arghh..u know wat? after dinner we shud have:
1) enjoy cups of cuppa at starbucks
2) catch another movie
3) walk down singapore river outside esplanade ending at clarke quay coffee bean for a sparkling soda
4) home

But i guess next day got chem tutorial..so it was (4) for everyone...we walked through city link to mrt..
(oh..for people interested to know more about me =D..i alighted at kembangan..bought a cool slurpee from cheers..and took a taxi home (lazy for bus) lolssss)

so, i am very sad to announce that we will have to push this outing till December. then we will have fun.

As everyone knows, Murali has gone from our class. I am sure although his period of stay has been short, the memories that he left are uncountable. He has been a great friend to all, always there to help if necessary.

Colosseum 23/05/07

Today was the Colosseum. it also marks the "end" of this term, simply because the holidays are coming. and i am proud to say that in Colosseum, i saw for myself that 07S210 is capable of greater heights.

Wei Chong did us proud by clinching the Max Meridian for the 2.4km event. Not only that, he also managed to turn the tables on the other houses during the relay race. he outran the other houses, and together with 3 other Callistos, Callisto got 1st for the event.

Not forgetting our beloved Zahir, who was given an award for clinching 2nd in the 5km run where he finished with a timing of 20.50 mins.

And we also took part in the Pushball Finals. Sad to say, we failed to win Phobos and were 2nd overall for Pushball. Big thanks to Zahir, Josh, Ting Xuan, Guang Wei, Cheryl, Siti, Adelyn and most importantly, 07S210!!! People of 07S210 deserve much more than just a clap, but many more... because i saw the spirit present in everyone. the "CG" spirit. we were all cheering for a single cause, i guess.

meanwhile, i have took time out to start out a blog for 07S210 and hopefully, we can make full use of this blog for our announcements.
